Stops working... Pull/replace power plug... works

The unit is just over three years old. In year 2, we were away and the cooling stopped. Lost $100 in spoiled food and $69 service fees. After some analysis the technician got it working.... no parts changed. I asked him what he did and he said this model is known to shut down requiring the line cord to be unplugged and replugged. He thought this maybe due to a power surge? Nothing else was affected. Recommended I install a surge protector for the unit which I did. Now in year 3, same problem... lost all our frozen food again. I pulled the unit out, unplugged it and plugged it back in and everything is fine again. What can you do to make this $2,300 unit do what it was designed to do? Most disappointed with Whirlpool as we have only bought Whirlpool for many years. Replace the circuit board? Replace the whole unit? I can't trust it any more. Help

I bought this fridge in 2017 and since then the ice/water dispenser has always been quirky. When you let off the dispenser lever water still continues to spray at least 2 seconds afterwards dripping to the floor; same with ice. It'll drop enough ice on the floor to get anyone mad after you have removed the cup from the dispenser lever. 2019 the fridge section does not cool anymore; I'm still in the process of diagnosing but I don't have good feelings about it.

Poor design of ice/water dispenser

Have had this refrigerator for 1 month. Very disappointed in the design of the ice dispenser and the fact that there is a " fringe " of plastic surrounding the entire appliance which is almost impossible to remove.

Great but Slow Ice Maker

This is a wonderful refrigerator overall. Easy to use, looks nice (the White Ice is a great update to the old white-on-white appliances,) and the storage is more than you think. However, if you are a heavy ice-using family, just know that the ice maker is slow. We've yet to get a full bucket because it makes so little at a time compared to our rate of use. There is a Fast Ice feature we have not tried yet, being honest, but we would use it constantly. Overall worth buying!

We purchased this refrigerator on Boxing Day after our 7 year old Samsung stopped working on Christmas Day! We purchased it right off the showroom floor. We have been so happy with the refrigerator that our daughter and son in law (that are building a new home) have ordered Whirlpool refrigerator, slide in range, microwave and washer and dryer. Keep building quality appliances that can be serviced by our local appliance repairman unlike Samsung appliances.

Not so cool!

Unit ices up after about 3 to 4 months. After several service calls ending with failed attempts to correct the defrost issue, the unit was replaced by W. Pool. This took endless time on the phone, and around 4 months w/out the unit cooling. Now the replacement unit is 5 months old and has been serviced 3 times for same issue. We are awaiting a call for our 3rd unit in less than 2 years! Terrible quality, and service techs just want to install parts from service bulletins. They won't take the time to diagnose the issue, to properly resolve the defrost problem. MSRP on this unit is over $2500.00 and works for 3 months. At this point I'd be tempted with a 50% refund, over another pyle of junk that wont last more than a few months. And then back to loosing food, and buying ice all over again. Fun times with this unit in your home as a main refrigerator for a family of 7.

I got this refrigerator about 2 weeks ago and am very pleased with everything except where the ice comes out. wish the shoot was smaller so that the ice wouldn't go everywhere. we are learning to hold glass up very close to top but is hard for younger people to use without making a mess.

I am very happy with my refrigerator thus far. I like the spaciousness of it when both doors are open. Also like the LED lighting Do not have Ice and water connected jet but I am sure this will be another feature I will appreciate. Very unhappy it shipped with two known problems!

This arrived a month ago. It had two problems within 6 days. The lights inside the fridge and freezer quit working. Also, the door to the ice dispenser does not close completely, so the ice is melting and running out the front of the door. The technician said these were both KNOWN PROBLEMS with this model and they had changed the part numbers to better ones. Why would you ship this without retrofit to solve these problems you knew existed? We still don't have this fixed and it has been 3 weeks since you were notified of the problem!!!

After only eight days the interior lights went out. Repair tech had to replace the electronic "motherboard", a very expensive repair. Thankfully it was covered by warranty. After water dispenser use, water continues to drip.Not what I expected from an eight day old refrigerator. Hope reliability in the future is much better.

I bought this ice white refrigerator for a sparkling new kitchen that's still being built. It's plugged in operating in my dining room except for the ice maker/water dispenser. So far, really good. I like having all the refrigerator compartments throughout including the freezer area which help with organizing and keeping up a cleanly appliance.

Had problems with first two delivered but the third one was a charm. It has so much space for all sorts of containers in the refrigerator section. They can be configured many ways. The freezer is so much better than any side by side refrigerator. It makes my kitchen my dream kitchen!

Very spacious. Interior lights very nice. Love how many different ways I can configure the interior shelves. Water and ice is filtered and has great taste. Bottom freezer very roomy. Struggle to find anything negative but will point out the top drawer in freezer is hidden when you open freezer and when new, I had to remind myself it was there.

The ice-maker in the door is a real space saver, leaving usable space where others take it up.The multiple closed compartments with drawers allow better separation between foods stored that tend to emit odors through the containers. The multiple lights show the contents well where other units have dim bulbs. We like the frozen food entree compartments as they are real space savers.
